She is known primarily for her work on independent fILMS. HER wORK EXISTS IN THE REALM OF PERFORMED REALITY AND CONSIDERS HOW SHARING OVERLAPPING EXPERIENCE CAN HEAL. SHE RECEIVED HER DUAL BFA IN PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILM/VIDEO AT THE MASSACHUSETTS COLLEGE OF ART AND DESIGN. SHE CO-FOUNDED ENGRAM DESIGN STUDIO, A DESIGN COLLECTIVE BASED IN INDIA, AND WORKS AS THE MARKETING DIRECTOR.
Raina’s short films have premiered at prominent Boston venues, including the Coolidge Corner Theatre and Brattle Theatre, as part of local film festivals. Her photographic series and multi-media installations have been exhibited in galleries across Massachusetts, and featured in various print and online publications. HER COMMERCIAL WORK HAS been featured in Rolling Stones India ONLINE publication (2021); and her series of metal laser-etched photographs were displayed at the Heat and Health Fair at The Museum of Science, BostoN (2022). Her 2023 collaborative multimedIA installation, Spectral Strata, including photographs sewed into Fabric and experimental video projection was exhibited at Gallery 51 and Arts/Design Lab in North Adams, MA. Her documentary short film about construction waste, Malba, made under the Ciné Impact Film Fellowship won an award at the International Science Film Festival, New Delhi (2022).
